What the SnapDown Extension Does

When you browse Instagram in Chrome (or Edge, Brave, or other Chromium browsers), the extension adds a purple SnapDown button below each post and reel. Click it once: the extension extracts the media and opens SnapDown in a new tab where you can preview and download in HD. No need to copy the post URL or leave Instagram first. It supports single photos, videos, reels, and carousels — and because it uses your existing Instagram session, it can also access private posts from accounts you follow.

How to Install the Extension
